Registered Nurse and Certified Diabetes Educator
Katie Stakely is a registered nurse and certified diabetes educator with the University of Florida pediatric endocrinology where her focus is educating patients with newly diagnosed diabetes. She received her nursing degree from Santa Fe College in Gainesville, FL. She was first introduced to diabetes when she volunteered with the Florida Diabetes Camp. She continues to work closely with the diabetes camp and enjoys the opportunity to interact with her patients and other children with type 1 diabetes in the camp setting.
